The organizers invite abstract submissions for the Warfare, Environment, Social Inequality and Peace Studies (WESIPS) Conference to be held at the Center for Cross-Cultural Study in Seville, Spain on May 29-30, 2015. This interdisciplinary symposium seeks papers addressing one or more of the following topics: prehistoric/modern warfare, ritual violence, biodiversity, natural resource utilization, past and present cases of environmental degradation/sustainability, egalitarianism, advent of social inequality, conflict resolution, and prosocial behavior.

The University Press of Florida will review Conference papers for possible publication.

I would like to invite you to a (follow-up) roundtable on Andean Studies at the University of Stirling on Saturday, 14 June (depending on the number of participants, also the 15 June).

This informal meeting is meant to be a (re-)connecting point to present our studies, talk about our interests and exchange information about our research. Brief, 15-minute presentations should leave us enough time to talk and discuss the topics.

Deadline: Confirmation of participation, and presentation topic with a brief abstract (100-200 words) by 25 April 2014.

The participation is free (but refreshments and lunch have to be paid for by the participants).
