Dawn Lohnas, current student in the UCLA/Getty program for the conservation of Archaeological and Ethnographic Materials is seeking an archaeological excavation that could benefit from conservation assistance, for two weeks, anytime between March and August, 2012. Would ideally like to be on a site with a supervising conservator. Please contact Dawn with any projects that could benefit from further conservation assistance for several weeks. Dawn has a background in South American archaeology, and worked for several summers as an archaeology student and then as a conservator in the Tarapaca Valley in Chile on the UCLA Field Project (in collaboration with the Universidad de Chile). She also interned as a conservator for a summer at the National Museum of the American Indian, and is currently an intern at the Getty Villa Antiquities Conservation lab. She will have a small budget available to her, which will cover travel and most expenses. Please contact her for further information: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. Thanks so much,
Dawn
