The Department of Sociology and Anthropology invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the Anthropology Program, effective January 2012. The position, subject to availability of funds, will be at the rank of Assistant Professor with a starting annual salary of US$59,400. The appointment is for teaching and research in one of the two disciplinary areas of archaeology or sociocultural anthropology. Requirements for applicants include a doctoral degree or Ph.D., willingness to work in departmental committees, an active program of research and publication, teaching experience in the discipline, command of Spanish and English languages, and potential for acquiring external resources.
