Description: The College of William & Mary Department of Anthropology invites applications for a tenure track position in historical archaeology to be filled at the level of assistant professor starting in August 2010.
- The Department's PhD program in historical archaeology and historical anthropology emphasizes the integration of social and cultural theory within historical studies in archaeology and anthropology.
- We seek an archaeologist (PhD in hand by the time of appointment) whose research contributes to the history of Africa, and/or the African Diaspora.
- The applicant should have an active field research program, a strong publication record, and experience teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
Materials should include a detailed letter describing current and planned research activities, teaching qualifications and interests, a full curriculum vita, and the names and addresses (including telephone and email) of at least three academic references.
